As an operator, the service provider for translation and interpretation (hereinafter referred to as the "TRANSLATOR") is subject to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), in force since May 25, 2018 (General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR).

Regulation 2016/679 strengthens the rights and protection of personal data of natural persons, regardless of citizenship or place of residence (European Community and outside the European Economic Area), regarding the processing of their personal data. The regulation does not apply to the processing of personal data concerning legal entities and enterprises with legal personality, including the name and type of legal entity and the contact details of the legal entity.

• In exercising its activity, the translator is entitled to collect certain information concerning you, in compliance with the legal provisions concerning the protection of personal data, by applying technical and organizational measures of protection of all operations relating directly or indirectly to personal data, preventing unauthorized or unlawful processing, as well as accidental or unlawful losses or destruction in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016 /679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC.
• The data collected is your first and last name, personal identification number, nationality, residence, e-mail and billing address, telephone number. This data will be used for:

  -execution of the contract concluded with you and communication in this respect,

  -fulfilment of the tax obligations relating to the payment of the service,

  -fulfilment of the professional obligation to hold the record of the contracts concluded.

  This data will be retained during the performance of the translator's professional records.

• The documents subject to translation may contain special categories of data relating to criminal convictions and offenses, or sensitive data such as medical images, laboratory tests, data regarding biological samples, documentation, and reports prepared by the attending physician, or data regarding racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, philosophical convictions, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data for the unique identification of a person, data regarding sexual life or sexual orientation.

  These data are incidental, are part of the content of the translation, and will be kept for as long as the translator maintains professional records.

• This data is collected and processed with your consent and in accordance with European and national regulations on the protection of personal data.

• The data is not processed for secondary purposes incompatible with the purposes for which it was collected. The processing operations do not pose a risk to the rights and freedoms of the individual.
• The collected data is reviewed annually to analyze the extent to which their retention is necessary for the mentioned purposes, your legitimate interests, or for the fulfillment of legal obligations by the translator. Data that is no longer necessary will be deleted (the right to be forgotten, the right to deletion).

• Iordache Marilena, as Translator, is the authorized person responsible for collecting and processing data, while ensuring compliance with and maintaining professional confidentiality, as well as managing translations. The professional translation activity is carried out individually and independently, thus there is no transfer of data to third parties (e.g. intermediaries, collaborators, etc.).

• The data is stored in the form of a paper file (with acknowledgment of receipt from the client) and/or an electronic file (Pseudonymization), as well as in an email attachment, under the responsibility of the translator who has all the means necessary to ensure their security (e.g. access with a strong password and fingerprint, SSL certificate).
• If it is necessary for your data to be shared for procedures such as the legalization of the translator's signature, filling out applications at a notary, signing documents in front of public and private entities, etc., this (these) procedure (procedures) will be carried out by the translator, with the client's consent.
• The data is stored for the entire duration of the translation process. Once the translation is completed, the data will be retained for the duration of the translator's professional record-keeping, in accordance with legal deadlines.

• The translator has access to your data for the purpose of legitimate processing.
• The data processed by the translator will not be shared. Translation services are provided individually, the translator-client relationship being a direct one, protected by professional confidentiality.
• If the translated documents are used in proceedings in Romania, outside Romania, and in the European Union (EU), the sharing of the data concerning you and subject to translation is strictly the responsibility of the client and/or the entities involved.

• You have the right to provide or withdraw the consent for the processing of personal data.
• If you offer your consent for data collection for the purpose of translation, you can always withdraw it. In this case, the translator will explain to you what data will be suppressed from the file (the right to erasure of data).
• You are entitled to be informed of the purposes in which the data are processed or persons having access to the data.
• By a simple written request, addressed personally to the translator, by e-mail or by courier, you are entitled to:

  -access and see the data;

  -request rectification of data if certain information is not correct;

  -have your data erased;

  -request restriction of data processing;

  -receive all the information that concerns you and are recorded in a portable and legible format and obtain the transfer of data to a third party (the right to portability);

  -object to processing on the basis of a legitimate interest, processing for direct marketing purposes or profiling and processing for the purposes of scientific or historical research or for statistical purposes which do not reveal a public interest.

• The intervention on the data provided may be such as to prevent the performance of the contract concluded with the translator. In this case, the translator is exempted from liability.
• The translator who collects the data directly is responsible for the latter.
• The translator is required to ensure the processing of the data safely and to inform you of any breach of their security.
• If you are dissatisfied, you have the right to address to ANSPDCP.

• Execution of a contract with the translator. Data processing includes recording the service request, performing the translation, phone contact/electronic correspondence, and invoicing for the purpose of executing the contract;
• The fulfillment of the translator's legal and ethical obligations, among others, in accounting and taxation, which cover the legal period for archiving and the statute of limitations for fulfilling obligations.
• The lack of consent regarding the processing of personal data leads to the impossibility of providing services.
